Today, Naftogaz of Ukraine has been informed by Gaz-System S.A., the operator of the Polish gas transport system (GTS), about forced temporary suspension of gas supplies to Ukraine through the Hermanowice hub (Poland). According to the Polish operator, gas supplies were suspended following a reduction of the amount of gas supplied to Poland from the east. Gaz-System informed its clients that gas supplies would be suspended from 15:00, - on September 10th, to 9:00, - on September 12th (Kyiv time).

Naftogaz of Ukraine is discussing the situation with the Polish operator and gas distribution companies in order to clarify the nature of the problem. The companies are holding consultations as forregarding the schedule for resuming gas supplies as well as planning for similar risks in the future.

Today, Poland’s PGNiG oil and gas company said that since the start of this week, Gazprom has not fully satisfied its demand for gas. On Monday only 20% of volumes were satisfied, while Tuesday’s figure stood at 24%.
